The automotive industry is a gigantic sector and an indispensable part of Malaysia’s economy. With the advent of technology, those who study automotive engineering have to keep themselves updated with the current trends of the industry.
With the increasing demand for EV specialists, Despark International College (DSIC) has developed the Innovations & Technologies of Electric Vehicles (ITEV) programme that is specifically designed to produce more young talents in the areas of EV development. It has also invested more than RM2mil for the equipment and human resources to make this project a successful one.
Throughout the ITEV programme, students will be exposed to the fundamentals in Drivetrain in Electric Vehicles (EV), Concept of AC, DC and Fast Charge, Electric generator power delivery concept, and Regenerative Braking and Diagnostic of EV.
AWARD-WINNING AUTOMOTIVE COLLEGE
DSIC was awarded the prestigious 6 Stars rating by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia in the MyQuest 2018/2019 rating. “As a leading private college in the area of automotive engineering studies in Malaysia, Despark takes the responsibility to deliver top-quality expertise and highly skilled graduates,” says its chief executive officer Cherrie Lee. “It shows we are moving in the right direction. Quality education is our priority. Our extensive collaborations with industry partners, both locally and internationally, signal trust in the institution and their willingness to invest in the capability of our graduates,” she adds.
CAREER READY WITH DUAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
The diploma programmes at DSIC are designed to develop and equip students with both professional and practical skills for entry to degree level study, which lead to employment prospects in the fields of automotive engineering. Students can obtain dual diploma certifications which are recognised locally and internationally, giving them better employability opportunities.
BACHELOR DEGREE IN AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING
In its effort to provide a wholesome learning experience for its students, Despark has established a partnership with Wrexham Glyndwr University to offer degree programmes on a 3+0 arrangement. This collaboration enables Despark students to obtain a UK degree by completing the entire programme in Malaysia. “Through this partnership, our students at Despark International College will receive a reputable degree that will set them apart from their peers,” says Lee.
Despark offers state-of-the-art facilities to improve students’ technical experience. The college will be hosting its Open Day from June 16th onwards. For more information, call 03-7955 5585 or Whatsapp your name to 012-3641882.
